Basic Info
A studio apartment situated on the newly completed Sunny Day 5 complex is available to rent. The apartment is on the 1st floor, fully furnished with air conditioning and sleeps 2. The complex has a pool, shop and bar situated on site and the vibrant Sunny Beach resort is just 3.5 kilometres away. Faciilities Apartment Sofa Bed - Sleeps 2, Remote controlled Air conditioning/ heater, TV, dvd player, wardrobe with bedding and towels, 2 seat table and chairs Kitchen area Electric 2 hob cooker, fridge, microwave, oven/ grill, toaster, electric, kettle, plates, cups cutlery Bathroom The bathroom is a wet room type with a very good shower plus WC and basin/ mirror. The water heater is electric and provides more than enough hot water for 2 showers. Sunny Day There is a pool, small shop and a bar on site plus the management office if you have any problems. There are 2 large supermarkets in Sunny Beach as you enter the town with a bus stop close by. |

Why I bought it I wanted a place to escape to in Bulgaria that was close to all the resort amenities of Sunny Beach and also Burgas Airport but was also quiet and peaceful. Sunny Day 5 had all the things I wanted. It is in a new and well managed complex but not in the centre. It is only 30 minutes from the airport. Sunny Beach resort can be reached by a regular bus service which costs 50p or by a 3 minute taxi ride. It is possible to explore nearby Old Nessebar and Sozopol by bus or car. Although Sozopol is 30 miles down the coast, it is one of our favorites. The black sea coast can be very hot in summer and 35°C is not uncommon. We have had a pleasant 23°C in late Oct /early Nov but at this time of year the nights tend to be cold and only a few bars and restaurants are open in the resort. Availability and Price
The apartment is used by family and friends as well as our regular visits but there are several weeks available in high season. Price is £150 per week in high season (June 1st til end of August) and £95 per week outside high season. I am prepared to rent out for shorter or longer durations. Getting About
If you just plan to live it up in Sunny beach you can manage easily using a bus or the occasional taxi for late nights. If you wish to explore further a car is recommended and can be rented from Burgas airport. The roads in Bulgaria are notorious for pot holes but the area has improved in recent years and there is a very good road to Burgas. By bus: There is a bus stop outside the complex 200m from the front door which will take you into Sunny Beach bus station for 1 Lev (around 50p) which run every hour or more in high season. From Sunny Beach bus station you can catch a bus to most places including the airport and the long haul trip to Sofia. See timetable here - bus 6 By Car If you plan to explore then a rental car may be best. We use Europcar and pick up from Bourgas airport. This saves the cost of a taxi back to the airport. Prices vary but £85 a week is usual. If you are comfortable with driving abroad and have the finances, I recommend a car to get out and see the area. By Taxi: Taxis are not cheap compared to buses in the area and you are advised to negotiate a price before getting in. We pay between 10 and 15lv (~£7) one way from Sunny Beach to the apartment but in high season we get quoted 25-30lv before negotiation. There are loads of taxis available in Sunny Beach in high season and taxi drivers often hand you a card. It is worth using a taxi again to save re-negotiating every time. If using a taxi for the airport, ask around for the best deal quotes range from 50 to 70lv. |
